Little Emma was a rescue from the Lexington Humane Society. She was 6 weeks old and in quarantine due to recovering from Parvo when I saw her in her little locked cage. She was being overlooked due to being in a locked cage with a quarantine sign. I asked for her to be taken to a room so I could do my meet and greet, and I fell totally in love with her.
She was a feisty little thing to be so sick! She immediately attacked my shoes and untied my laces; I picked her up and she went straight for my hair ;). I knew she wasn't feeling the best, but she still had the sweetest face when she would look at me. She just broke my heart. I decided I couldn't leave her there, so I took this little sweetheart home to get her placed in a nice comfy setting while she continued to get better. She remained in quarantine for another month after I brought her home so she couldn't go outside or be around any other animals. After the quarantine period was over, she was ready to go outside and play, and also meet her other furbaby sisters at the house :)
She's been a wonderful addition to my furbaby family and I couldn't imagine life without her. :) She's now 3 years old and very healthy.
Please remember adoption saves lives :)
Look at that little face :)
